They usually come down across the lake, but sometimes they mix it up.

I mean, I know that we'll all die. I don't know if anything would happen to us after that? Like, if we were all supposed to end up somewhere that wasn't here... I guess it's possible, since it already happened once!

For all you know, turning these things away and bringing the Light back will destroy us anyway.

Who said anything about returning? I don't really think we have a shot at going BACK to anywhere... Like, we're dead, so I always figured we'd end up staying here or IDK maybe going somewhere else through Maridel's portals, something like that.

But I wish I had your bravery, I guess. Not existing anymore is super scary to me.

Maybe bringing the light back would destroy us, I guess that's a possibility, but like... we don't know anything about any of our paths forward! We're just kinda taking shots in the dark, you know?? Maybe the World Eaters eating us would just mean we get to live in some utopia in its tummy, or something. Who the hell knows!!!

Soooo if it were up to you, would you suggest we all just lay down and give up?

If I were you all, I'd be trying to find a way off this world instead of worrying about defeating an unbeatable foe.

But you heroes are always more concerned with saving others whether they want it or not than looking out for yourselves.

...I dunno, I kinda think we're all looking out for ourselves? Just, like, together! As a unit!

It's not about what I want!! All *I* want is to get out of this stupid tower! Resets are a part of my job and I HAVE to do them!!

Being selfish isn't gonna get us anywhere. It sure didn't get ME anywhere. :/ It really sucks having to be on the ground but it sucks up here, too! But now that I'm up here there's no going back, so I just gotta keep trying to protect everybody and make the best decisions and stuff...

I gotta NOT be selfish or else we're all gonna die. It's like the worst poetic justice in the world, right? Do something super selfish so now you gotta pay back the karma or whatever!!

It's just hard. Like, there's a lot of ways to look at it. If I could go back in time and stop myself from becoming the Keeper, I don't think I would?

The Lighthouse Keeper before me went totally nuts and was gonna reset the whole place and then kill himself, so most of us that were left decided to storm the lighthouse. If he didn't want to do the job anymore, fine, but don't take us down with you, y'know?

What we didn't know is that once a reset starts, you can't stop it. :/ Knowing what I know now, I could've edited the code to spare the people that were left, but I didn't know that was possible back then.

Soooo everyone died, except me.

Nobody but you left to take over that lonely job.

I mean... you're probably right? But that's the part that would suck, I think. The fact that none of us would be remembered and all of this would've been for nothing.

I know that's a possibility for our future anyway, like, if the World Eaters get us b/c we can't find a way to stop them... buuuut if it's gonna happen, I want to be able to say we tried really hard, you know?

I could totally let this place die. That's what the last Keeper was trying to do. I just don't wanna.
