Greetings Robin. I hope you are recovering all right. I did get a bit of chocolate for the holidays, though the best gift was someone baking me a pie. It wasn't quite the same as my wife's but it certainly did the trick in warming this man's heart.
I hope you received some tasty treats as well.
Speaking of which, you also mentioned in your bulletin that you had a bad feeling that the weather would be taking a turn. Is there not a better way to predict the weather outside of feeling it? I'll admit one can make educated guesses, obviously no sudden heat waves on the horizon, but it could be helpful if we could at least know when to take an umbrella or an extra coat.
I'm doing much better now! Thanks. :) And I did get some gifts!!! The forest spirits always give me like tons of acorns and rocks and stuff, LOL, and some of you townies sent me stuff too!! It's been nice.
I heard you guys were doing a lot of gift exchangy stuff too and that's like, way cute? I'm really glad about all this community building! That's super the thing to do when you're stuck in a place like this, you know?
I doooo have some rudimentary meteorological... stuff? So that's what I use to kinda predict things to try to give you guys weather updates, but Idk I'm not a weatherman!
There's a weather station in town somewhere, though. O: Maybe you guys would be able to read that stuff better than me?
Excellent! I'm glad you got included in some gift giving as well.
It was Eleven's idea I believe, but I agree. Community is important and it's a lot easier to survive when you have something or someone to survive for.
I had a hunch you might have some weather-type equipment. I'm not from a super technologically advanced world, but even we had ways of predicting the weather and figuring out what might be on the horizon. A weather station, huh. Sounds intriguing. I'm not sure if I could...but you're right in that we may have someone around here that can. Everyone here seems to have such different interests after all.
Wouldn't happen to be in the Downtown area would it?
Well damn. We were about to head out in the direction of where I thought the Downtown area to be. Thought maybe we could check it out on our trip.
I noticed that while I was studying the map though. Seems we've been wanting to slowly expand our footing instead of just tearing off into the unknown...although if it's west that means it's in the direction of the medical center from old Beacon.
Interesting.
((ooc: since i started this pre-explore of Downtown, I'm going to say he was messaging Robin before he left...not that the timey-wimeyness matters.))
Whoa, how do you know about the medical center?? I didn't think you guys had been out that way yet!
But now you know what I mean when I say you should check that place out. :P The group I was in never got that far, but if I could visit you guys for a day, that's where I'd want to go!!
Saw it on a map in a dream while most of you were fending off attacking Spirits. Of course, since it was a dream I couldn't be 100% sure how accurate it was...but this puts us up two confirmations that the locations I saw on the dream map correspond to locations in this reality.

No, it's not downtown. :) It's in West Beacon, actually! Up on the cliffs somewhere.
That's definitely an area you guys should check out more, jsyk!!!

I also saw something about an amusement park...but it wasn't on the map.

Kinda seems like those dreams were legit, I think. I haven't heard anything about them that sounds off base to me.
