The lights started disk-shaped. Spinning slowly. Affixed to a shadow in the water by a cylinder. Once the ferry started, the cylinder retreated, and the lights pulsed like veins along the shape before it disappeared.

Is this something you've encountered before? I'm told you have some further insight on our predicament by virtue of your own situation.
